The People's Association marked its 60th anniversary last year, but like so many celebratory events, it was overshadowed by the pandemic.
The strong bonds that the PA has built within the community since it was established on 1 July 1960 have seen us through challenging times. The PA has played a vital role fighting COVID-19 – from distributing hand sanitisers and masks, to reaching out to those needing urgent help. Our CCs, where in normal times residents gather for group activities, became focal points for the community to get information, assistance, and vaccinations.
